Description:
Cross-sectional view of the penis and with its layered structure, skin and Colles fascie/tunica Dartos removed. Penis consists of 3 cylindrical cavernous bodies: two corpora cavernosa on the dorsal side, and one corpus spongiosum on the ventral side. The urethra lies in the corpus spongiosum. The deep artery of the penis or cavernous artery lies in the cavernous body. The skin and Colles' fascia are removed. The deep dorsal vein of the penis lies dorsally under Buck's fascia. Circular veins are seen running from ventral to dorsal, draining into the deep dorsal vein of the penis. No labels.
