Description:
Cross-sectional view of the penis. Penis consists of 3 cylindrical cavernous bodies: two corpora cavernosa on the dorsal side, and one corpus spongiosum on the ventral side. The urethra lies in the corpus spongiosum. The deep artery of the penis or cavernous artery lies in the cavernous body. From outside to inside the layers of the penis are: Skin, Colles' fascia, Buck's fascia, tunica albuginea. The superficial dorsal vein of the penis is seen dorsally on Buck's fascia. The deep dorsal vein of the penis lies underneath Buck's fascia. No labels.
