Embryology is the study of the prenatal development of an organism. In humans, this development is divided into two phases: The embryonic phase (0-8 weeks): the embryo develops from zygote to blastocyst implant in the uterine wall. During this period, most of the systems and organs develop. The foetal period (8th week – birth): further grow and differentiation of the organs. This manual contains the self-study tasks for the skills training Embryology. It is helpful to work through this manual before the training.
