Description:
A series of videos from the MOOC 'Anatomy of the Abdomen and Pelvis; a journey from basis to clinic'. First an overview is presented of the gross anatomy. Next, microscopic and embryological aspects are elaborated, followed by a section on the peritoneum and the development of its configuration. Then there is a chapter on the abdominal wall and the pelvic organs. The series concludes with a chapter on abdominal pain and its involved nervous structures. The subject matter is explained with drawings, 3D models and demonstrations of dissected specimens. These videos and the MOOC from which they derive were created by the dept. of Anatomy and Embryology of Leiden University Center, the Netherlands.
