Description:
Catheter to the heart (left ventricle) via subclavian artery. This short animation demonstrates the route a catheter would follow if introduced in the subclavian artery. It demonstrates that this route does not end up in a pulmonary artery as would be necessary for pulmonary wedge pressure measurement. It can be used in combination with the similar animation that shows the routing of a catheter correctly introduced in the subclavian vein to reach the pulmonary artery.
