Zygomatic bone: posterior view. The zygomatic bone (os zygomaticum) connects the maxilla, frontal and temporal bone. The zygomatic bones also contain the system of canals for the branches of the zygomatic nerve. This image shows the posterior surface of the right zygomatic bone. Version without labels.
