Description:
Palatine bones: posterior view. The palatine bone (os palatina) borders the lateral and inferior walls of the choanae (in an L-shape). Vertically, the laminae are continuous into the pterygoid process of the sphenoid bone, and horizontally the lamina is continuous ventrally into the palatine process of the maxilla. NB: Both bones are in contact with each other, and the distance between two lamina horizontalis practically doesn't exist. Version without labels.
