Description:
Inferior nasal concha: lateral view. Lateral aspect of right inferior nasal concha. The inferior nasal concha (concha nasalis inferior) is a paired bone attached to the lateral wall of the nasal cavity. The inferior nasal concha separates the middle nasal meatus from the inferior nasal meatus, affecting the airflow in the nasal cavity and maxillary sinus. The processus maxillaris completely seals the hiatus sinus maxillaris below the level of inferior nasal concha. The processus lacrimalis articulates with the lacrimal bone, and the processus ethmoidalis with the processus uncinatus of ethmoid bone. Latin labels.
