Description:
Sagittal section of eye and lens accommodation. Accommodation is the process that allows us to see both far and near objects. The lens in this image is split into two. The above half shows the lens looking at a near point, whereas the lower half shows the lens looking at a far point. This change happens because of the relaxation and contraction of the ciliary muscles and zonula fibers (shown in the image). English labels.
