Description:
Prostate plexus and venous plexus, pudendal nerve and venous drainage penis. The pudendal nerve is shown, coming from the sacral plexus. The pelvic plexus (inferior hypogastric plexus), providing autonomic innervation to the rectum, bladder (removed), prostate and penis. The prostate plexus is located on the lateral sides of the prostate, together with its venous plexus. The dorsal vein of the penis drains into the venous plexus of the prostate. The fundiform ligament is the most anterior located ligament at the root of the penis. It continuous as Colles' fascia over the penis. The suspensory ligament, underneath the fundiform ligament, is continuous with Buck's fascia. No labels.
